We are all aware that Apple is all set to start retailing its iPhone 6S and 6S Plus in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, UK and the US from September 25.
At the event, the company mentioned that this much-awaited smartphone will be making its way to other key 130 countries by the end of this year. However, a recent report by The Economic Times pegs that the launch might happen in the first week of October itself.
The same report also states that the Apple Watch might make its India debut in the coming week.
To substantiate their point, ET mentions that the Cupertino-based company engaged in some closed-door meeting with its key trade partners on Wednesday in order to plan for these launches and also make sure that they are able to market their during the upcoming festival season.
If this news is indeed true, then it would go on to prove that India is becoming a significant market for Apple and we are likely to see more interesting marketing initiatives by the company in the days ahead. It must be noted that Apple is already offering various buy backs and EMI scheme to woo customers in India.
We are also expecting that post the launch of iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, the company might look at revising the prices of its existing line-up in India, which includes iPhone4S, iPhone 5S, iPhone6 and iPhone 6SPlus.
